Abstract
A power management system for a marine vessel is provided. The power storage system includes at least one marine battery configured to power a load on the marine vessel and a control system. The control system is configured to identify a vessel location, identify an environmental condition based on the vessel location, and determine a target state of charge for the at least one marine battery. The target state of charge is an optimized charge level for storing the at least one marine battery based on the environmental condition. The control system is further configured to compare a current state of charge of the at least one marine battery to the target state of charge, and generate a battery storage optimization action for the at least one marine battery based on the comparison.
