Abstract
An agricultural sprayer a chassis carrying an engine, a boom, a product tank, a rinse tank, a heat transfer system, a manifold, and a spray applicator. The heat transfer system is configured to transfer waste heat to the rinse tank. A controller is configured to control a pump and a distribution valve to deliver liquid from the product tank and the rinse tank through nozzles to an agricultural field. A method for treating an agricultural field includes propelling an agricultural sprayer through a field; heating a rinse fluid to a temperature above an ambient temperature using waste heat from a heat source; rinsing nozzles by transferring the heated rinse fluid from a rinse tank through the nozzles; and after rinsing the nozzles, spraying liquid from a product tank to the agricultural field.
