Abstract

An assay device allows reducing manufacturing variation, maintaining the measurement accuracy of the assay device at a high level, and enhancing the liquid control performance. The assay device of the present invention includes a microfluidic channelallowing liquid to flow, an absorbing porous mediumdisposed at a distance from one endof the microfluidic channel, a separating spacedisposed between the microfluidic channeland the absorbing porous medium, and a housing spacehousing the absorbing porous medium. The assay device further includes a lower memberwhich is an integrally molded article constituting a part of the assay device. The lower memberdefines a lower portionof the microfluidic channel, a lower portionof the separating space, and a lower portionof the housing space. The lower portionsof the separating spaceand the housing spaceare inclined downward toward one side from the other side in a flow direction. The lower membersupports the absorbing porous mediumat the lower portionof the housing space
