Abstract
An audio enabled device comprising a microphone array and loudspeaker can detect user respiration for sleep analysis if enabled by a user. The loudspeaker emits ultrasound audio signals which are captured by the microphone(s) and processed with respect to a reference signal to determine when the user's chest is moving and thus detecting the user's respiration. The device may employ a line-fitting and/or other techniques to determine respiration data from the detected movement. This information may be used, along with other movement data, acoustic data, image data, etc. to determine data regarding the user's sleep. Such information may be made available to the user through other device(s) associated with the user's profile.
