Abstract
A system can include a rack that may include a frame arranged to form boundaries of an internal volume sized for receipt of a server, power shelf, and/or other sliding chassis into the rack. At least one sidewall may be incorporated into the frame along a lateral side and include compartments. The set of compartments can be sized for receiving battery cartridges, e.g., which may be included to supply backup power to one or more components in the rack.
