Abstract

A network device may receive a packet from a virtual tunnel end point. The packet may be configured to have a transmission control protocol (TCP) maximum segment size (MSS) data field containing a value. The network device may be configured to determine a minimum Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) value to the virtual tunnel end point. The network device may be configured to replace the value with a replacement value based on the minimum MTU value.
