Abstract
A composite particle includes a particle including a carbon material and silicon, and a coating layer including carbon and oxygen on the surface of the particle, in which the composite particle has a true density of 1.80 to 1.99 g/cm; in the Raman spectrum, a peak is present at 450 to 495 cm, and when the intensity of the peak is defined as Iand the intensity of the G band is defined as I, I/Iis 1.3 or less; and when the ratios of the number of atoms of Si, O, and C in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy are defined as A, A, and A, respectively, and the ratios of SiOand SiO are defined as Band B, respectively, Ais 0.05 or more, and I/Iand A/(A+A×(B+B)) have predetermined relationships.
