Abstract
The techniques described herein relate to generating a portrait aspect ratio video from a landscape aspect ratio video. The techniques can include a content editing engine identifying a first frame of a first shot of a landscape video and determining a plurality of objects in the first frame. The content editing engine can identify a primary subject of the plurality of objects based at least in part on the first frame. The content editing engine can generate a first set of bounding boxes for the primary subject. The content editing engine can generate a second set of bounding boxes for the primary subject based at least in part on the first set of bounding boxes. The second set of bounding boxes can have a portrait aspect ratio. The content editing engine can generate a portrait video based at least in part on the second set of bounding boxes.
