Abstract
A method for controlling a handling machine is provided. The handling machine includes a chassis, a lifting arm mounted pivotingly, a lifting ram arranged to pivot the lifting arm, a first sensor configured to deliver a position measurement signal relating to a position of the lifting arm, a tool mounted pivotingly on the lifting arm, a tilt ram arranged to pivot the tool, and a second sensor to deliver a travel measurement signal relating to a travel of the tilt ram. The method includes receiving a tilt request to actuate the tilt ram, and responsive to receipt of a lift request to actuate the lifting ram, activating a compensation mode, the compensation mode including generating a setpoint relating to the travel based on the position measurement signal and providing closed-loop control of the travel based on the setpoint and the travel measurement signal.
