Abstract
Data communication method and apparatus, and terminal are provided. The method includes: performing, by a first terminal, a media access control control element (MAC CE) transmission and/or reception only on the direct path if the first terminal is configured with both direct path and indirect path by a first communication device or the direct path and indirect path are both activated by the first communication device; where the first communication device is a network-side device accessed by the first terminal, or a peer terminal communicating with the first terminal.
