Abstract
Managing the mobility of the edge servers includes detecting a trigger to a trigger to initiate management of a set of IoT devices via at least one first mobile edge server. A system obtains a set of attributes associated with each IoT device of the set of IoT devices and determines a weighting factor for each IoT device of the set of IoT devices. The system obtains a first set of spatial coordinates of each IoT device of the set of IoT devices and determines a first weighted centroid of the set of IoT devices based on the weighting factor and the first set of spatial coordinates. The system generates a deployment command to deploy the at least one first mobile edge server at the first weighted centroid.
