Abstract
A power feeding apparatus includes: a power supplier that supplies power to devices connected to the power supplier, a controller including a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor controls power supplied by the power supplier; communicates with the connected devices; and to supply power to the connected devices, negotiates through a communication with each of the connected devices and determines distribution of power to be supplied to each of the connected devices within a range in which a total of the power to be supplied does not exceed an upper limit value. When a new device is connected while there are one or more devices that have already been connected, the processor lowers a voltage of the power supplied to the already-connected devices, in steps to a first voltage, and negotiates with the new device and the already-connected devices.
