Abstract
A processor may receive a labeled entity from a string describing a transaction associated with a user. The processor may apply a layered entity resolution process to the labeled entity. The layered entity resolution process may include checking previous transactions associated with the user for a name of the labeled entity, comparing the labeled entity to a plurality of previously-used names using a fuzzy matching algorithm, identifying a synonym for the labeled entity from previous transactions associated with the user including the synonym, and/or suggesting a high-confidence name for the labeled entity. The layered entity resolution process may generate a predicted identifier for the labeled entity comprising a result of at least one of the checking, the comparing, the identifying, and the suggesting. The processor may insert the predicted identifier into a user interface (UI) element within a UI displayed to the user.
