Abstract

Provided is a plastic lens, for spectacles, which inhibits occurrence of abnormal outer appearance and has antibacterial property. A plastic lensfor spectacles includes: a plastic base; and a dielectric multilayer filmformed on a film formation surface M of the base. The dielectric multilayer filmincludes one or more low refractive index dielectric layers, one or more high refractive index dielectric layers, and an antibacterial layer. The antibacterial layeris a dielectric layer containing metal ion-carrying zeolite, and is disposed closer to an air side than all of the low refractive index dielectric layersand all of the high refractive index dielectric layersare. A physical film thickness of the antibacterial layeris less than 50 nm.
