Abstract

An apparatus comprising an interface and a processor. The interface may be configured to receive pixel data and radar data. The processor may be configured to process the pixel data arranged as video frames, receive coordinate transformation data for an image sensor and a radar device, determine a first object detection location in the video frames in response to computer vision operations, determine a second object detection location in the radar data, determine if there is an intersection of the first object detection location and the second object detection location in response to a comparison of a transformation of the first object detection location and the second object detection location to an aligned coordinate system, and generate information about an object in response to the intersection. The coordinate transformation may be performed to compare the aligned coordinate system. The intersection is determined according to matching rules.
