Abstract
A system for mission planning of a military vehicle includes a military vehicle operable according to different modes and having a controller. The system includes processing circuitry that obtains a starting location and a destination for the military vehicle and obtains data associated with a geographic area. The processing circuitry determines a mission plan based on the data, the starting location, and the destination. The mission plan includes a route between the starting location and the destination, and a selection of one of the modes that the military vehicle should be operated according to, along portions of the route. The processing circuitry provides the mission plan to the military vehicle for use by the military vehicle. The controller uses the mission plan operate the military vehicle to transport along the route. The controller also transitions the military vehicle between modes based on the mission plan.
