Abstract
An oil discharge system may include an oil collection trough, a boost air supply line, a nozzle in fluid communication with the boost air supply line, a discharge tube configured to receive boost air from the nozzle the increased velocity, and a siphon tube having an open end arranged in the oil collection trough and another end in fluid communication with the discharge tube. The boost air in the discharge tube at the increased velocity may draw oil out of the collection trough, through the siphon tube, and into the discharge tube. The discharge tube may isolate the oil from exposure to blow-by air flow within the boost assist impactor and carries the oil from the oil collection trough to a discharge point at or near an oil outlet of the boost assist impactor.
