Abstract
A downhole valve system may include a downhole tubular having body portion and a central bore extending axially through the body portion. Production fluid is configured to flow along the central bore. The system may further include a bypass flow path extending axially through the downhole tubular between an upper opening and a lower opening axially offset from the upper opening. Additionally, the system may include a control valve disposed along the bypass flow path and configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position to control flow along the bypass flow path. Further, the system may include a ball valve disposed within the central bore in an axial position between the upper opening and the lower opening and configured to actuate between an open orientation to permit flow through the central bore and a closed orientation to block flow through the central bore.
