Abstract

A washing-drying machine includes a housing, a drying drum disposed at an upper side in the housing and configured to accommodate laundry to be dried, a washing drum disposed at a lower side in the housing and configured to accommodate laundry to be washed, a heat pump including an evaporator, a compressor, and a condenser and being configured to produce hot air and to supply the hot air to the drying drum, and a cleaner configured to clean the condenser by spraying cleaning water to the condenser. The cleaning water includes at least any one of condensate water condensed from the evaporator or washing water to be supplied to the washing drum. The washing-drying machine performs a method that includes supplying the washing water to clean the condenser based on an amount of the condensate water being insufficient to clean the condenser.
