Abstract
An outboard motor is provided having a shaft head defining a longitudinal axis; and a housing of a battery that is detachably connectable to the shaft head. The shaft head has a plurality of guides configured to connect the housing of the battery. Moreover, guide elements extend at an end region of the housing and are arranged such that the guide elements engage with a respective guide of the plurality of guides when connecting the housing to the shaft head. In this aspect, the plurality of guides and the guide elements are configured such that the housing is first pivoted on the shaft head and subsequently pushed relative to the shaft head.
