Abstract
The present invention relates to a physiological measurement device () comprising a processor () configured to input () at least one digital signal (x) from frontend circuitry () of the measurement device (), the digital signal (x) representing an analog signal (s) present at an input () of the frontend circuitry () and at least one filtered digital signal (y), the filtered digital signal (y) generated by at least one digital filter () from the digital signal (x) based on a set of filter coefficients (f). In order to allow for implementing alarm-related monitoring efficiently in terms of cost and power consumption so that interference with other measurements devices applied to the same patient is minimized, it is proposed that the measurement device () comprise a coefficient calculator () configured to perform an adaptation operation () based on the digital signal (x) and the filtered digital signal (y); and a checker () configured to determine () alarm information (A) from a result (f, g) of the adaptation operation ().
