Abstract
An image decoding deviceaccording to the present invention includes a circuit, wherein the circuit: generates a first prediction pixel based on a decoded pixel and a control information; generates a second prediction pixel based on an accumulated decoded pixel and the control information; synthesizes an arbitrary combination including at least one of the first predicted pixel and the second predicted pixel with each of small regions divided by a plurality of line segments on a basis of the control information to obtain a third predicted pixel; and adds one of the first predicted pixel, the second predicted pixel, and the third predicted pixel and the prediction residual to obtain the decoded pixel.
