Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a driver to smoothly execute a driver action which is at least one of an operation, a reply and a confirmation by the driver and has become necessary during automatic driving even if the driver is operating a portable terminal he or she has brought into a vehicle. SOLUTION: A support system includes: an HCU and a communication apparatus used in a vehicle which performs automatic driving and has the possibility that a driver action which is at least one of an operation, a reply and a confirmation by the driver becomes necessary during automatic driving; and a portable terminalwhich is carried by the driver and connects and communicated with the communication apparatus. The portable terminalcomprises: an operation determination partfor determining whether or not its own terminal is being operated; and a display partwhich, when a driver action has become necessary during automatic driving and the operation determination partdetermines that its own terminal is being operated, performs support display that supports execution of the driver action which has become necessary during automatic driving.
