Abstract
Disclosed is there is provided a method for grouping and managing messenger service users, and the method includes: receiving a request to create a group from a first user; determining whether the first user is eligible to create the group; receiving a request from the first user to invite a second user to the group, wherein the second user corresponds to a friend of the first user in a messenger service operated by the server; sending an invitation message to invite the second user to the group through the messenger service; receiving a response indicating acceptance of the invitation from the second user; determining whether the second user is eligible to join the group; and managing the first user and the second user in the group.
