Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a device for use in a fuel assembly of a nuclear power plant. The device includes at least one rod, each rod including a plurality of containers having a space being filled with material to be activated. The device further includes a flow restrictor including a plurality of fingers adapted to extend respectively into a control rod guide tube of the fuel assembly. The at least one rod is connected to a finger of the flow restrictor. The containers are arranged subsequently in a direction of the longitudinal axis of the respective rod. The containers are connected to each other at a connecting portion. Each rod has a marking at a connecting portion. Each marking identifies the end of a space in a container and/or the end of a container.
