Abstract
Systems and methods are described for a product recommendation system for automatically extracting ingredient-related attributes for a product based on the product's ingredients in order to generate product recommendations for a user. The systems and methods may use a model to determine the attributes from the product ingredients. The primary input into the model may include a product ingredient list, and optionally a product title. The model may identify product attributes, such as target skin types and concerns, for a product based on the product's ingredients. The product recommendation system may then match these attributes with user preferences and then generate product recommendations tailored to match the user's preferences based on the matching.
