Abstract
One or more embodiments describe a magnetic actuator including one or more magnets, and at least one of the magnets induces mechanical movement by the magnetic actuator. The magnetic actuator is controlled by a mobile application associated with a mobile computing device, and the magnetic actuator is configured to open or close based on identifying a user at the mobile application. The mobile application is configured to identify the user based on biometric identification at the mobile computing device, including at least one of: (i) fingerprint identification or (ii) identification using an image of the user generated using a camera associated with the mobile computing device. Identification data associated with the identification of the user at the mobile application is configured to be transmitted via NFC or Bluetooth to the magnetic actuator.
