Abstract
Methods for recovering a metal value from a metal-bearing material are provided. The method comprises intermittent application of a heated leaching solution to a plurality of regions of the metal bearing material followed by a period of time where no additional heating leaching solution is applied. This method results in a cyclical heating pattern that improves recovery of the metal value with reduced energy and reagent expenditure.
