Abstract
A glass-ceramic may comprise a phase assemblage comprising lithium disilicate (LiSiO) as the primary crystalline phase and a residual amorphous glass phase. The glass-ceramic may further comprise greater than or equal to 0 wt % to less than 8 wt % CaO. A ratio of AlO(wt %) to LiO (wt %) in the glass-ceramic may be greater than or equal to 0 and less than 0.50. The glass-ceramic may have a transmittance of greater than 88% for wavelengths of light within a range from greater than or equal to 400 nm to less than or equal to 750 nm.
