Abstract
A technique capable of evaluating the performance of electrodes for a channel for dielectrophoresis without using the channel is provided. A channel chip includes a substrate, a main channel, a liquid reservoir, a pair of main electrodes, and a pair of inspection electrodes. The main channel is disposed on an upper surface of the substrate and capable of receiving a liquid therein. The liquid reservoir is disposed on the upper surface of the substrate in spaced apart relation to the main channel. The liquid reservoir is capable of receiving a liquid therein. The pair of main electrodes are disposed between the upper surface of the substrate and the main channel. The pair of inspection electrodes are disposed between the upper surface of the substrate and the liquid reservoir.
