Abstract
Method of facilitating inspection of an ultrasonic transducer used in high-intensity focused ultrasound therapy. Selection and observation processing is performed by: (i) processing for selecting one pair of divided surfaces from multiple pairs of divided surfaces obtained by dividing a bowl-shaped surface at multiple cutting planes that include the central axis of the bowl-shaped surface; (ii) processing for causing ultrasonic transducers disposed on the one pair of divided surfaces selected from the multiple pairs of divided surfaces to transmit ultrasonic waves; (iii) processing for setting an ultrasonic probe to a state in which an ultrasonic beam is scanned on an observation surface that passes through the pair of divided surfaces selected from the multiple pairs of divided surfaces; and (iv) processing for acquiring ultrasound date regarding the observation surface on which the ultrasonic beam was scanned.
