Abstract
A biopsy system () includes a biopsy element () for taking a sample () of tissue () to be examined from an organic body, and a fluorescence endoscopy element (). The fluorescence endoscopy element () has a distal section (), where excitation light is coupled out and fluorescence light is coupled in. The distal section () of the fluorescence endoscopy element () in the biopsy element () is axially positionable in a distal position and in a proximal position. The biopsy element () has a receiving space () for receiving the sample () of the tissue () to be examined. The receiving space is closed at the distal end in the distal position of the distal portion () of the fluorescence endoscopy element () and is open at the distal end in the proximal position of the distal portion () of the fluorescence endoscopic element ().
