Abstract
Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for controlling vehicle interior lighting. The apparatus for controlling vehicle interior lighting according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes: a first communication module configured to communicate with a display device installed in a vehicle interior; a lighting module configured to include a plurality of light sources; and a processor connected to the first communication module and the lighting module, wherein the processor is configured to: receive first image information, which is information on an image being output on the display device, through the first communication module; generate first color information based on the first image information; and control the lighting module based on the first color information.
