Abstract

An information processing system includes a processor configured to manage multiple second information processing apparatuses to be paired with first information processing apparatus retaining data, the multiple second information processing apparatuses retaining data synchronized with data retained by first information processing apparatus, and the processor being configured to, in response to request for pair re-formation from the first information processing apparatus with one of the multiple second information processing apparatuses, request that each of multiple second information processing apparatuses perform confirmation of existence of first information processing apparatus paired with second information processing apparatus, receive result of confirmation of existence, and reference the received results of the confirmation of existence and identify the second information processing apparatus that has failed to confirm existence of the first information processing apparatus paired with the second information apparatus.
