Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. An example method performed by a terminal in a communication system includes receiving, from a base station, configuration information on a rate matching pattern; receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) for scheduling a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) on a plurality of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs); and performing rate matching according to the rate matching pattern corresponding to the plurality of PDSCHs based on the configuration information in a case that the plurality of PDSCHs is scheduled based on the DCI.
