Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide an electric motor system capable of suppressing deterioration in cooling performance due to mixing of bubbles (air) into a refrigerant. An electric motor systemof the present invention includes: a gear; a first surfacethat receives oil scraped off as the gearrotates; a second surfacethat is located downward in a vertical direction with respect to the first surface, faces the first surfaceat a position overlapping the first surfacein the vertical direction, receives the oil dropped from the first surface, and receives the oil scraped up as the gearrotates; and a recesslocated downward in the vertical direction with respect to the second surfaceand into which the oil received by the second surfaceflows. Both ends of the second surfacein a horizontal direction perpendicular to the vertical direction and perpendicular to an axial center of the gearare located inside both ends of the recessin the horizontal direction.
