Abstract
A battery pack includes a plurality of submodules, a pack case and a connection busbar configured to connect a first submodule and a second submodule to each other. The first submodule of the plurality of submodules includes a terminal unit connected to the connection busbar, the top surface of the first submodule being spaced from a bottom surface of the first submodule in a vertical direction, a blocking plate configured to cover the terminal unit in the vertical direction, an upper end of the connection busbar, and a side surface of the connection busbar and a thermal insulation cover covering the blocking plate. The terminal unit, the connection busbar, and the blocking plate are stacked in the vertical direction. The blocking plate comprises an upper structure and a side structure extending downwardly from a front edge of the upper structure and below the top surface of the first submodule.
