Abstract
A multilayer ceramic electronic device includes a dielectric layer that has a main phase having a perovskite structure expressed by a general formula ABOand a secondary phase which includes barium, chromium, and a transition metal element other than chromium, and has a molar ratio of a sum of the chromium and the transition metal element other than the chromium to barium of the secondary phase of 7.0 or more, a plurality of internal electrode layers that sandwich the dielectric layer and face each other, and a plurality of external electrodes each of which is electrically coupled to each of the plurality of internal electrode layers.
