Abstract

A blue screen of death (BSoD) error is mitigated in an endpoint computer. A kernel driver on the endpoint computer starts when the kernel driver is stable and does not start when the kernel driver is not stable, such as when the kernel driver has crashed. After the malfunction causing the BSOD error is mitigated, a backend system can send a command to the endpoint computer to force an engine to initialize and start the kernel driver.
