Abstract
A thermal management system for a marine vessel. The thermal management system includes an open loop circuit and a pump that pumps water from the body of water in which the marine vessel is operating, through the open loop circuit, and back to the body of water. Another pump pumps a first heat transfer fluid through a first closed loop circuit for cooling or heating a first component. A heat exchanger is configured to exchange heat between the water and the first heat transfer fluid. Another pump pumps a second heat transfer fluid through a second closed loop circuit for cooling or heating a second component. A valve has valve positions for selecting whether heat is exchanged between the second heat transfer fluid and the water from the body of water for heating or cooling the second component.
