Abstract
Systems and methods for determining if a brake rotor in an electromechanical braking system is warped are disclosed herein. An electronic actuator of a brake caliper is controlled to apply a force to a brake pad towards the brake rotor. While controlling the electronic actuator to apply the force, an operating parameter of the electronic actuator is monitored. A determination of whether the brake rotor is warped is made based on the operating parameter.
