Abstract

A filter unit () includes a rigid filter block () that filters out a gas or particles from a gas mixture flowing through the filter unit (). The filter block () has two end faces (Sf.a, Sf.e) and a shell surface (M). A housing including a pot () and a cover () surrounds the filter block (). The pot () includes a base () and a tube (). A gap (Sp) occurs between the tube () of the pot () and the shell surface (M) of the filter block (). Between one end face (Sf.a) of the filter block () and the base () of the pot () there is a flat inner area () of a deformable damping layer (). An outer area () of the damping layer () surrounds the inner area () in a circular ring form and is located in the gap (Sp).
