Abstract

A patient warming pad configured for placement between a patient and a support surface of a medical table. The warming pad includes a body having a top layer and a bottom layer. The top layer defines an intended patient-contact region and an intended patient-non-contact region, and the bottom layer defines a support-contact region. A heating device, including a heating element configured to generate heat, is disposed between the top and bottom layers and extends below at least a portion of both the intended patient-contact region and the intended patient-non-contact region. One or more temperature sensors are positioned on the heating device such that the sensors are located below the intended patient-non-contact region.
