Abstract

A surgical helmet for use with a surgical garment and a power source. The surgical helmet may comprise a protrusion extending from a top beam and configured to removably secure the surgical garment to the surgical helmet, and a projection extending transversely from the protrusion to retain the surgical garment. The surgical helmet may also comprise a post and the power source may comprise a plug, wherein the post and the plug comprise complementary features to allow the plug to be rotated about the post without breaking the electrical connection between the plug and the post. The plug may comprise a plurality of electrical contacts, each of the electrical contacts configured to engage one of a plurality of concentric tracks of the post when the plug is coupled to the post and are configured to maintain contact with the specific electrical contacts as the plug is rotated about the post.
