Abstract
Beam failure recovery methods and apparatuses are provided in this disclosure. In an implementation, a method includes: determining a beam failure recovery media access control control element (MAC CE), and sending the beam failure recovery MAC CE, wherein the beam failure recovery MAC CE comprises cell beam recovery information units of one or more cells of a terminal device, wherein the cell beam recovery information unit indicates beam recovery information of a corresponding cell, and the cell beam recovery information unit comprises: a cell indication (C) field indicating a cell corresponding to the cell beam recovery information unit, and a transmit/receive point (TRP) beam recovery information unit quantity indication (N) field indicating a quantity of TRP beam recovery information units in the cell beam recovery information unit, wherein the TRP beam recovery information units indicate beam recovery information of a TRP.
