Abstract
A Method and Apparatus for sidelink positioning is provided. The method includes receiving a SystemInformationBlock12 in a first cell, performing sidelink discovery with a type2 UE, receiving from a RRCReconfigurationSidelink, transmitting a first SL MAC CE, receiving a second SL MAC CE, starting to measure SL-PRS based on the NR-SL_PRS_ResourceSet ID field from the time point determined based on the Activation_Time field, transmitting a first SL MAC CE. The first MAC CE includes a A/D field and a NR-SL_PRS_ResourceSet ID field and a Activation_Time field. The A/D field is set to a first value. The second MAC CE includes a A/D field and a NR-SL_PRS_ResourceSet ID field and a Activation_Time field. The A/D field is set to a first value. The second MAC CE includes a A/D field and a NR-SL_PRS_ResourceSet ID field. The A/D field is set to a second value.
