Abstract
Fraud verification with inbound telephony-based verification is provided. A user through a computing device may request an action from a service. A verification system may receive this request and ascertain the risk level for the request is above a threshold triggering inbound telephony-based verification. The risk assessment may be based on characteristics of the request, such as a phone number corresponding to the request or a network address corresponding to the requesting computing device. To conduct the inbound telephony-based verification, the verification system may send the computing device instructions to send a verification message through the phone network to a specified destination. On receipt of the message at the destination, the verification system may verify that the request is not fraudulent and cause the performance of the requested action.
