Abstract
A system for assisting a user fishing with fishing gear. The system includes an image sensor configured to capture imaging data of the fishing gear. A control system is configured to analyze the imaging data of the fishing gear to detect fishing activity. A notification device is operatively coupled to the control system and configured to notify the user when the fishing activity is detected.
