Abstract
A pharmaceutical returns processing system may include a pharmaceutical returns processing device configured to acquire an image of an adjacent serialized medication having a unique medication serial identifier thereon. The pharmaceutical returns processing system may also include a pharmaceutical returns processing server configured to apply optical image recognition to the image to determine the unique medication serial identifier, determine a return payment corresponding to the unique medication serial identifier, and process the return payment.
