Abstract
A microscope: includes a beam source producing a laser beam, an objective lens, and first and second scanning mirrors operating along perpendicular axes to reflect the laser beam to scan a specimen through the objective lens. A first pair of cylindrical lenses is positioned between the objective lens and the first scanning mirror at points along the straight line, with a focal point aligned with the first scanning mirror, to receive the reflected laser beam and provide it to the objective lens. A second pair of cylindrical lenses is positioned between the objective lens and the second scanning mirror along the straight line, with a focal point aligned with the second scanning mirror, to receive the reflected laser beam and provide it to the objective lens.
